Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Oh my god I can't believe how bored I am right now, my head is numb and I am sleepy (I got up 3 hours ago) and that's just not normal... it's because of the fuckin hot weather here, it's hot even though it's dark as a tomb in here lol :giggle: I want an AC badly! :sniff:

Other news... ~EvanescentAngel666 and I are working on our collaboration, still gathering the best stocks though hehe but we'll start working on it from Monday, it'll be great :aww:

I've seen that many people do that and they are obviously kinda bored haha like me now so I'll do "Facts About Me" too, but the most interesting once ;P

Describe yourself: I am a metalhead lol, a metal girl :D When people see me, they think I'm some sort of angel[dressed in black] just because I look sweet and cute lol but at the end, they are quite disappointed :aww:

One of the weirdest facts about you: Many people and much more recently say that I look a lot like Avril Lavigne. This fact is weird because I have NOTHING in common with here in interests[and not only] - I love black/death, symphonic black metal, folk and viking metal, I hate glam, pop rock shit and you can't believe how annoying this is for me even though she might be kinda pretty ;P

First song ever heard: Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water, I might have been just a few months old but I do remember and believe this was the foundation of what I am today ;P

I /don't/believe in:
I am an atheist and am proud of it, I don't believe in god and I don't think that going to churches and praying to some images of "holy people" will help me. My philosophy is "don't expect help to come down from the sky for you". I prefer doing Charity instead of wasting my time with false hopes, because this way I know I'll really help people and this makes me feel good.
I tend to believe in miracles just cause I like mysteries :aww:
I believe in soul mates and I will find mine someday :floating:
No! I don't believe or worship Satan, I only believe in myself.
I believe and actually am sure that there is life in Space, isn't it a bit too selfish to think that the whole Universe is only for ourselves? ;P

My Username: It doesn't mean anything as far as I know, I wanted it to be something different and unique, I love words with "mort" in them and so.. here I am :giggle:

Well, you say you hate it because you have to because her music / image is rather mainstream (altho pretending to be alternative & weird); while you are a full-on real-deal Dark Metal Chick with a soul as black as an Eternal Midnight, etc, etc. But secretly you're kinda flattered when people make the comparison... go on, admit it!
